after my week of not blogging last week, i was all prepared to blog it up this week! i had something prepared for about every day this week. yesterday i put off blogging all day and was going to wait to post until after the kids went to bed.
then our neighbor knocked on our door right before the kids went to bed and gave us some heartbreaking news: her husband had died the night before.
and then i became wordless.
the wife was on the phone most of the time, so i didn't get to talk to her last night. i just sat with her teenaged daughter while she cried on my shoulder for about 10 minutes. her 6 year old son doesn't really grasp what happened, as well as her 2 year old daughter.
i will spare most of the details and names here on my blog, but he was shot on monday evening (not at home) and died later at the hospital. his death was the result of sick, sinful, depraved men. and his life came to a value of less than $100.
this may be a wordless week for me. my blog will not be high on my list of priorities. top of the list: loving on my husband, hugging my kids, and doing anything and everything to be a blessing and show God's love to a suffering family.

I completely understand how you could be wordless right now.
It is so sad and I will be thinking of and praying for your neighbors and you too.
sending (((HUGS)))
been praying for you all day off and on. for the family, too. God will give strength! love ya!
Your list of priorities is right in line. It's scary to think of something like that happening and we all need to remember family comes before blogging any day.
That is awful :(
Wow, Erin. I’m so sorry to hear about this. I can understand how you are wordless. And absolutely why a blog is not top of your list right now. Praying for your neighbors and for you…
