this evening we'll be gone to my sis-in-law's for dinner, so i won't have time to pack then. right now i'm watching cartoons with ryan (and blogging) while we eat lunch. and here's the best part: it's after 1pm and i'm still in my jammies!!
it's a good thing i work best under pressure, because erin is my name; procrastination is my game!
how do YOU get ready for a trip? are you a procrastinator or a planner?

I am a planner. I make list after list after list. and I usually type them!! :) YIKES I know. Then I set everything out in piles and check off my list to make sure that I don't forget anything. AND packing for one kid is hard enough and you have two on your hands. Good luck and have a great time.
I am such a planner! We don't leave for our trip until Tuesday night, but I already have all the clothes that we will be taking washed and laid out on the bed in the spare bedroom. I'll iron them today and have them packed in suitcases by tomorrow afternoon. And I've been making my list and checking it twice for all of the other stuff besides clothes that we will need to take. I am usually all packed up and ready to go with suitcases waiting by the door about 24 hours before we actually leave!
It drives my husband crazy, but it's good because it still gives me plenty of time to realize if I've forgotten anything!
You would get along great with the hubs. He will leave for another country for work and pack an hour before he is suppose to leave. It stresses me out, lol.
The beauty about procrastination is that if it is important, it will always get done, even if you do it last minute! hehe
I pack the night before I go somewhere, sometimes very late at night. Not because I am procrastinating though, but because I need most of my "stuff" until I leave. I then make a list of the last minute things I need to pack in the morning before I leave. I like lists (although I don't type them like Sonya does)
:)
oh an on my lists I draw check boxes so I can check them off! hehe
Mmm, I'm a planner too. Aside from all my "daily use" stuff, I'm usually done about 24 hours ahead of time. I do lists too, but I like to finish that far ahead because inevitably, there are things I've forgotten that get added over that last 24 hours. Hubby's different- even on his business trips that he doesn't need much, it's usually midnight the night before. This makes it really difficult to SNEAK in my little notes and surprises for while he's away :)
