update:
my hair is very thin and very fine. and there's a slight bit of natural curl. but only when it grows past chin length. i don't know that i'd really want bangs, you know, since i don't like to have hair in my face! but thank you all for the suggestions here and on facebook! i'll consider every one! well, except for the mohawk and mullet. seriously, people!

so i'm not really on a ship. let alone a ship that needs to be saved... but i do need some help.
i'm about to pull my hair out. literally. (although i wouldn't have to actually pull. it's doing pretty good falling out on it's own.) i'm in desperate need of a haircut right now. ben keeps asking me if i've made an appointment yet but i haven't. and believe me, i wanted it cut yesterday, but i just don't know how i should get it cut.
my hair is pretty long (for me) and i don't like it on my neck and in my face. it's a little clastrophobic if you ask me. so here's how my hair day usually goes: shampoo. tad of conditioner. brush. put in ponytail. take down for 2 minutes. put in ponytail. take down for 30 seconds. put in ponytail... catch my drift?
i really don't like to do anything with my hair. (why not if you stay home all day and when you go out it's just to walmart or target...) and i will absolutely not blow-dry it in the summer. so i need something easy. but cute.
and i don't have to worry about ben liking it either. because the other day he told me that no matter how i got it cut he wouldn't like it right away. yes, this being said right after he told me my hair was too long and needed to be cut. men.
all right... let the HAIR STYLE IDEAS start pouring in!

You are one hot mama! I like it long! But I'm like you, I hate it on my neck, especially when it's 100 degrees outside. How about you go ahead with one of the cuts I was thinking about and then let me know!
I know this won't help, but I would love to have your hair - even for just a day! I could NEVER, EVER just wash and let my hair air dry - can you say frizzball? Love your blog - Very new to reading blogs, but it's so funny! Hope you can make a good choice for a haircut- maybe short w/some layers???? Good luck, can't wait to see what you end up with!
this is my vote, but maybe just a LITTLE more framing around the face without actual bangs... I think this cut would look cute on you:

What about bangs? Also, does your hair have much curl? And is it heavy? I'm asking, because my hair has too much curl to be straight, but it's so heavy it won't hold styling. Do you have these issues? And what about bangs?
When I had long hair I cut it kinda bobbed in the back and longer on the sides (no not the kate haircut, lol) It was really cute and stayed off my neck and out of my face. I loved it! Can't wait to see what you picked.
well, being your oldest sister, i think i can pull a family card here and say, "you better not get a mullet or mohawk or i'm not shopping with you ever agagin." j/k i know you'd never do anything like that anyway. i would agree with you on the "no" to bangs. knowing how you like ponytails, i think you should keep it long enough so you can pull it up cuz you know you'll want to!
I don't know. I am terrible at this. I see some color added? Does that even help!?!?!
Oooh. Mullet. Yes.
I have the same hair as you!! You on facebook? Find me!
I think the haircut that I had before I decided to go SUPER short would look great on you. A little shorter in the back and then angled to the front. And mine was still long enough that I could pull the top part into a pony tail to get it all out of my face when I needed to!
Check out this post to see what I mean:

I vote for chopping it off... haha just kidding, I don't know if you'd like that or not but it'd be fun to try one time!
Ben sounds a lot like Greg not liking it right away and all... it always takes Greg awhile to get used to my hair before he decides he loves it.
Good luck... can't wait to see the after pictures!
