today i am thankful for all the men and women who are serving and who have served our country.this past weekend our family took a trip to garden city, kansas for a going away party for one of ben's good friends. jeff is being deployed to afghanistan and will leave his family for 13 months this coming sunday, february 1st.
besides family members that have served before i was born, jeff is the first person that i personally know who will have fought overseas to defend our freedoms. it is a huge sacrifice on his part, and not just for him but also for his family. i wouldn't be able to do it, so i thank God for those who can and are willing.
